Every child deserves to belong
A More Inclusive World Starts With Every Child.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, connect, explore their interests, and build a future on their own terms. AUS Foundation works to create more inclusive communities where children and youth with disabilities can participate, grow, and thrive.

Who we are
Every Ability Deserves an Opportunity.
AUS Foundation is committed to helping children and youth with disabilities experience greater inclusion, independence, and quality of life.
We believe that with appropriate support, accessible opportunities, and a welcoming community, children can participate more fully in the activities and experiences that matter to them: in the classroom, on the playground, and in community life.
Through programs, educational resources, recreational opportunities, and family-focused community support, we aim to help create environments where children are respected, encouraged, and included, and where families feel connected rather than alone.

How we support our mission
Opportunities That Help Every Child Thrive.
Six areas guide our work. Each one focuses on a different part of a child’s life, and together they describe the inclusive community we are working toward.

Learning and Education
Encouraging access to educational resources and learning opportunities that support each child's development and individual strengths, so every child can learn in ways that work for them.
Inclusion and Accessibility
Promoting welcoming community spaces and experiences where children with disabilities can participate alongside their peers, with barriers removed rather than worked around.
Recreation and Social Connection
Supporting opportunities for play, recreation, friendship, creativity, and shared experiences that help children feel part of the group.
Independence and Life Skills
Encouraging confidence, self-expression, decision-making, and the everyday skills that help young people shape their own futures.
Family and Caregiver Support
Helping families and caregivers connect with useful resources, information, and community support, so no family has to find its way alone.

Community Partnerships
Working toward meaningful collaborations with organizations that advance accessibility, awareness, and inclusion across the community.
Why inclusion matters
When Children Belong, Communities Grow Stronger.
Inclusion is not a single program or a ramp at the door. It is the everyday experience of being expected, welcomed, and counted in. When that experience is missing, children miss out on far more than an activity: they miss the friendships, confidence, and sense of place that come with it.
Every child should be able to look around a classroom, a playground, or a community event and know: I belong here.
Belonging
Feeling welcomed and valued is the foundation for confidence, friendship, and learning.
Opportunity
Children grow when they can try new things, discover interests, and build on their strengths.

Participation
Taking part alongside peers, rather than watching from the side, is what makes an experience shared.
Accessibility
Removing physical, social, and information barriers lets more children join in from the start.
Community support
Families thrive when neighbours, schools, and organizations share the work of including every child.

Belonging Can Change a Child’s World.
Inclusion means more than providing access. It means making sure children are welcomed, respected, heard, and given meaningful opportunities to participate.
When communities remove barriers and recognize different abilities, children can build confidence, discover their interests, form friendships, and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
At AUS Foundation, we believe progress begins with listening to children and families, understanding their needs, and working together to create more supportive environments.
Feeling welcomed
Being greeted, expected, and included from the very first moment.
Taking part
Joining in the game, the lesson, or the outing alongside friends.
Building confidence
Trying something new, being encouraged, and seeing what is possible.
Exploring what is next
Discovering interests and making choices about the future.
Help Create More Possibilities.
Every contribution toward inclusion matters. Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, share your expertise, or partner with AUS Foundation, you can help support a future where more children have access to meaningful opportunities.
