Who we are
Building a Canada Where Every Child Belongs.
AUS Foundation is committed to helping children and youth with disabilities experience greater inclusion, independence, and quality of life.

Our mission
To help create communities where children and youth with disabilities can participate, grow, and thrive.
We believe that every child has unique strengths, interests, and potential. With appropriate support, accessible opportunities, and a welcoming community, children can participate more fully in the activities and experiences that matter to them.
Through programs, educational resources, recreational opportunities, and family-focused community support, AUS Foundation aims to help create environments where children are respected, encouraged, and included.
Our work is guided by six areas of focus: learning and education, inclusion and accessibility, recreation and social connection, independence and life skills, family and caregiver support, and community partnerships.
Explore Our Areas of FocusWhat We Believe.
Every child has strengths
Every child has unique strengths, interests, and potential, and deserves the chance to develop them.
Inclusion is more than access
It means children are welcomed, respected, heard, and given meaningful opportunities to take part.
Families are partners
Parents and caregivers know their children best. Their experience shapes what support should look like.
Communities share the work
Schools, organizations, volunteers, and neighbours all help decide whether a child feels they belong.
Our approach
How We Work.
Listen
Progress begins with listening to children and families and understanding what they need.
Remove barriers
We look for the obstacles, physical, social, or practical, that keep children from taking part.
Work together
We connect with people and organizations who share a commitment to accessibility and participation.

Who We Serve.
