Our commitment
Accessibility is central to AUS Foundation’s mission. We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website, find information, and get in touch with us.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These international guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities.
Accessibility features
This website includes:
- full keyboard navigation, with a “Skip to main content” link and clearly visible focus indicators;
- text and background colours checked to meet WCAG contrast requirements;
- text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images;
- a clear heading structure and labelled regions for screen-reader navigation;
- form fields with visible labels, and error messages that are announced to assistive technology;
- reduced animation when your device is set to reduce motion;
- layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and zoomed text without horizontal scrolling;
- a mobile menu and dialogs that can be closed with the Escape key and keep keyboard focus in place.
How we test
We test this website with automated accessibility checks (axe-core) against WCAG 2.2 AA, manual keyboard testing, and checks at phone, tablet, and desktop sizes.
Known limitations
We are not aware of any accessibility barriers on this website at the moment. Automated tests cannot catch every issue, so if something does not work for you, please let us know.
